Some acai bowl recipes have added sugar. This simple version has just enough natural sweetness, a frosty bite and a basic (but fantastic) crumble on top. Try it for dessert. Or breakfast. Or lunch. Or for a snack. Or for all of the above!
Ingredients:
1 frozen acai packet, defrosted
1 frozen banana, in chunks
1/2 frozen pear, in chunks
Instructions:
Combine the acai, banana, and pear in a blender and process until smooth.
Top with peanut butter crumble: pulse 1 cup unsalted dry-roasted peanuts in a food processor for about 2 minutes, until creamy. Add 3 dates (ideally soaked for at least 30 minutes, perhaps soaked overnight and refrigerated) and blend for another 30 seconds, until crumbly.
Serves 1-2
