Marci Izard Sharif is a cookbook author, yoga instructor, and syndicated wellness blogger. In each platform she encourages tapping into physical sensations for information and potentially, transformation.
Marci believes that feeling is a method of mindfulness that makes us more present, self-aware, and inclined to make healthy, authentic choices.
In 2015 she released Nourishing Your Whole Self: A Cookbook with Feelings (Pelican Publishing) and Feel for Peace, a guided meditation album.
After ten years in TV news with roles that included anchoring, reporting, and hosting cooking and mindfulness segments, Marci now writes Marci’s Table, a blog on the Houston Chronicle and other Hearst websites, speaks at workshops and conferences, leads private and corporate classes, and regularly teaches at YogaOne Studios in Houston.
Originally from Connecticut, Marci lives in Texas with her husband and two spoiled cats, Morton and (this guy) Schubert.
